Fiera in luce

The project was designed to qualify the restoration site of the former Exhibition Center with a video projection (60m wide), which converts the scaffolding of the pavilion facing the sea, in the backdrop for the large area that hosts events throughout the summer months.
A visual installation that, based on the modularity of the scaffolding structure, breaks down the long image in 99 panels, distributed over 3 rows and 33 columns. The contents proposed play indifferently with individual panels, rows, columns, or the combination of components, integrating historical images of Messina and graphic animations derived from its most striking details.
A great visual surface which is both a tribute to the city and an ideal welcome to all those who come from sea.

On the occasion of the closure of the summer season, the installation was an inspiration for a live musical performance by mariaFausta, eclectic and multifaceted local composer.
